It’s probably a good idea to delete the original project from your iPad after returning with a project you’ve modified in FCP/Mac, because the new project has it’s own library chock full of your footage. This works! I haven’t yet tried exporting an original FCP/Mac to FCP/IP project, but executed a round trip that started at the iPad.
